As you may know, Epic Games is running a promotion on their store where they are giving a game away for free every 24 hours in celebration of the festive season.
We were lucky enough to be invited by Epic Games to take part in this promotion!
For 24 hours only as of the timing on this announcement, Melvor Idle is FREE to claim on the Epic Games Store! This is only for the base game, and does not include any of the available Expansions.

After the 24 hour promotion has ended, Melvor Idle will be for sale as normal on the Epic Games Store (Same price as Steam).
FAQs
Does this free promotion include Throne of the Herald or Atlas of Discovery Expansions?
No, it does not. These are not part of the free promotion and must be purchased separately.
Will this unlock the base game on Mobile & the Web?
Yes, as long as you use the same Melvor Cloud account!
Claiming this promotion will act as if you purchased it, and follows the same cross-play rules as Steam. This is also the same for when the promotion ends, and Melvor Idle is purchased from the Epic Games Store.
Will this unlock the base game on Steam?
No, it will not. Steam requires the base game to be purchased directly from that storefront if you wish to play it on there.
If I have purchased expansions on Steam or Mobile, do I need to purchase them again on Epic Games Store?
No, you do not. If you use the same Melvor Cloud account, your expansions will carry over and load on the Epic Games client as long as you own the base game on there.
Are there achievements on the Epic Games Store version?
Unfortunately not. Because Melvor Idle is a web app, we are required to use Epic's Web API to interact with their store. Unfortunately, this Web API has no support for achievements.
Are there any differences between the Steam version and Epic version?
No. They are exactly the same with no difference.
Will the Epic Games Store version of Melvor Idle continue to get updates?
Yes! Melvor Idle runs on a single code base for every platform its available on. All platforms will receive updates at exactly the same time, forever.
Will I miss out on anything if I don't install/run the game straight away / before the promotion ends?
Nope. As long as you claim it and it is sitting in your library, then you're all good. You can finally install it 14 years later if you wish and still receive the same benefits.
Why does the game ask me to sign in to my Epic Games account on load?
Due to Melvor Idle being a web app, we are required to use Epic's Web API to verify purchases. Due to this, a one-time extra step is required to give Melvor Idle permission to verify purchases on your Epic Games account.
